Dear parents,
Elements is ready to roll and scheduling Custom Sessions for your kiddos and their pals. 2 fun filled hours out in the woods. Time to really dig into an activity, linger longer and venture farther. Limited dates available so schedule your session now!
Details at a glance
Age: K – 8th Graders
Group Size: ideal for 4 to 6 kids but slightly larger custom groups will be considered.
Location: Soapstone Valley (see map to left for drop off/pick up location
Time: 2 hours typically between 3:00 and 6:00. Exact time can be customized per group
Custom Session Guide: The Elements is excited to introduce our Custom Session Guide, Forrest Holcombe. Forrest will cater each session to the specific group’s interests.
Options for Activities: The Custom Session Guide will be in touch with the parent organizer to gather info on the kiddos interests. We will then make a plan for the session customized to your group. It can be as simple as exploring and playing in the woods/streams to heading off on Treasure Hunts while learning navigation skills, compass reading, whittling, Shelter building, hammock hanging, fire lighting (and roasted marshmallows, Art in the Elements. . . As we say in Elements, ‘we value the best that Mother Nature has to offer to bring out the best in you.”
Cost: $65/child/2 hour Custom Session
Minimum of 4 kids to conduct Custom Session

We will also modify registration link so that host/organizer can send it to your child’s group of friends.
In an effort to increase accessibility to DC's treasured parks and expand the Elements program across income levels, we are offering a limited number of full scholarships to program participants. If you know or are the parent of a child who is eager to participate in an Elements Season and qualifies for financial assistance*, please email Margaret at mrietano@theelementsdc.com.

**Elements participants, who receive registration support, will be confidential.
POLICIES:
we will need all registrants to sign up in advance of Custom Session. If you can’t rally a group, we will pro-rate the minimum ($195 or 3 kiddos at $65/child) and send a balance.
if we have inclement weather, we will try to reschedule or refund registrants.
